i Manuel,

With the latest Windows OS 64bit update, version 1809 ( Fall Update) running, SIOC.exe ( v6.0B8) will just try to start, but then crash directly without any information.

This is happening for many users, I am not the only one

The Windows report for the crash is:

Re: SIOC 6.0B8 DO NOT WORK with latest WINDOWS 10 F ALL UPDATE 1809

Yes.

Today forced the update to the 1809 update of Windows 10 in the laboratory computer because the normal update not detected the 1809 update...

The result is the same problem of all users.

SIOC 6.0 not is compatible with this update.

The first check show a problem in the HID.DLL interface. (USB interface).

Microsoft update this .dll but we do not have in this moment information of the incompatibility, but the error is launched when the .dll is loaded by SIOC.

Now we are working in solve this problem...

Best Regards, Manuel.

Does anyone know if the older version of SIOC (ver 5) works with the new 1809 build of Windows 10? I discovered the problem only after the computer automatically updated. I also discovered that restoring the OS to the previous build (1803) through the Windows interface, did not return functionality to SIOC, so I have performed a clean installation of 1803, and am now having to re-install everything bit by bit.

Sioc v5 works with Windows OS 1803 and 1809

Yes. Version 5.* run in Windows 10 update 1809.

We have one alpha release of SIOC V7 but in this moment not is perfectly stable.

Microsoft don't inform of internal changes in USB library for this update and is very complex know the problem to solve. SIOC V7 install one new complete new library.

The 1809 UPDATE initially force to fail the SIOC V6.* with one error message. Now 1809 has been updated with others auto-updates and now dont appear error message but the fail continue. Many others providers have problems with the drivers for this same modification.

We work in this new version V7. The options in this moments are 1) return to update 1803 and fix windows to not update (is the best option because all microsoft updates in those times have problems with one or other app. or 2) use V5. (The last V5 version only update the DirectConnect SDK, and minor bug).

Best Regards, Manuel.

Hello Manuel
I performed a clean installation of Windows 10 (build 1809), and added all the standard updates. Then I installed SIOC 5, and I am delighted to report that I now have a connection with all my Opencockpits modules. The next thing is to install P3DV4 and PMDG along with OC4BA and all the other software and see if I can "fly" once more. Please keep up the good work with SIOC and I look forward to the realease of Version 7.
Many thanks
Father Dane

Hola manuel
Muchas gracias
Padre Dane
