Surfing as a sport, its organization and competition

It is no coincidence that surfing is called the sport of kings: its history began on the Polynesian islands (Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, etc.) centuries ago, where initially it was available only to the nobility: commoners were not allowed to the best "spots" and could not afford 6-8 meter boards, on which the waves were then conquered. Moreover, the king was always the best rider and no one had the right to surpass him in this art. Only at the beginning of the 20th century. Hawaiian surfers George Frith and Duke Kahanamoku introduced surfing to the inhabitants of America and Australia, from that moment surfing as a sport began to "grow" all over the world. It became really popular in the 1960s, when films and magazines about it appeared: surfing ceased to be an underground movement, everyone started talking about it. This is how a whole surf culture was born, in which organizations and competitions naturally emerged.

Hello, you don't need to wear anything special, simple shorts or even a swimsuit will do, the only thing is that a part of a wetsuit can be used as the top - it will not allow you to freeze, and you will lose the risk of getting burned. To learn how to surf, first of all, learn to row and dive the wave correctly. If you are planning to practice this sport professionally, then of course you will need all the equipment. I can recommend the good Easy Surf Shop at https://easy-surfshop.com/, where you can find a large selection of surfing products.
